Established in 1991
In the late 1980s, Thomas Edmund immigrated from Trinidad to begin his life in America. His first job was as a dishwasher at the diner. Through hard work and dedication, he gradually advanced through the ranks and ultimately purchased the establishment in 1992 with his wife, Marilyn.

Our Family
In 2015, the business was handed over to Marilyn.

In 2024, Marilyn retired and sold the business to her daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Manuel. They have continued to carry on the family legacy by serving the people of Dorchester with amazing food.

All employees remain the same, with some having been part of the diner for over 30 years—hence the name One Family Diner.
Today, OFD is a third-generation business, with Rachel and Manuel’s children working at the restaurant on weekends. We look forward to many more years of serving our community!
